Many New York construction workers deal with heights on a daily basis. There are many dangers in the construction industry, but these dangers are more common when tall, multiple-story buildings are involved. A recent collapse of a 33-story building left two workers with construction injuries

The collapse happened on the morning of March 20 in Boston. Construction crews were working on the residential high-rise building, which will include 400 housing units with up to two bedrooms and fitness amenities. It is unknown exactly what caused the building to collapse, but the 12th floor suddenly collapsed and continued on to the fifth floor.
The accident left two workers injured. One suffered minor injuries and has already been released from the hospital. The other was in more serious condition, as he suffered a head injury. Construction has come to a standstill while the Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigates and structural engineers assess the damage. The building is designed by CBT Architects
, while AvalonBay is overseeing the project.
Although most construction companies have safety procedures in place, accidents do continue to happen. At the very least, people involved in construction accidents may be eligible for workers’ compensation benefits, which help those injured in the workplace recover compensation for medical bills and lost wages.
