After his discharge from active duty as an officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corp., he returned to private practice, and formed a partnership with Anthony Fernicola, Esq., and Richard Abend, Esq.

Following the death of Mr. Fernicola, he entered into partnership with Gardner A. Callanen, Esq., and Arthur J. Foley, Jr., Esq., and together they founded the Callanen Foley & Hobika Law Firm which continues to this day.
